It’s an unusual lineup for the Dodgers today, even considering that a lefty, Mike Minor, is on the mound for Atlanta.

Scott Van Slyke giving Adrian Gonzalez a rest at first base isn’t that surprising, even though Gonzalez has been sizzling of late (11 for 19 with three walks, three doubles and two homers). Gonzalez had started nine games in a row and every game but one since the All-Star Break.

Nor is it too shocking to see Dee Gordon take a seat, given that Gordon is in a 3-for-24 slump with no walks, no extra-base hits and no steals.

But Miguel Rojas is also getting a breather, with Justin Turner getting his sixth start of the season at shortstop, while Darwin Barney makes his debut in the Dodger starting lineup at second base. And the leadoff spot goes to Carl Crawford, for only the seventh time in 2014 and first since April 22. All six previous leadoff apperances were against righties.
