The Dodgers will go with eight relievers and a bench of five players on their 2014 National League Division Series roster.

Here’s how it breaks down:

Relief pitchers (8): Pedro Baez, Scott Elbert, Carlos Frias, J.P. Howell, Brandon League, Kenley Jansen, Brian Wilson, Jamey Wright

Starting lineup (8): A.J. Ellis, Adrian Gonzalez, Dee Gordon, Hanley Ramirez, Juan Uribe, Carl Crawford, Yasiel Puig, Matt Kemp

Reserves (5): Drew Butera, Andre Ethier, Miguel Rojas, Justin Turner, Scott Van Slyke

  1. Thought Barney would make the roster as some defensive insurance.

  2. Such a hard decision to choose the 25. Line up looks great

  3. Elbert over PACO???? WHAT!!!!???

  4. Barney will be missed on defense… Dee Gordon didn’t impress there down the stretch and making those plays at 2B is going to decide a game or two.

  5. Leaving Darwin Barney off the roster is a mistake.

  6. Count me among those surprised at the Paco omission. I also think Barney needed to be there for his glove, although it would be hard to squeeze him in among this line-up. Possibly over Ethier, but he’s been decent as a pinch hitter.

    Rojas over Barney? Mistake

  8. BRANDON CANCER LEAGUE….I DONT BELIEVE

  9. I like the blue chair, no, no… wait a minute… Instead, I like the green chair and then put it over there, next to all the others. Hold-on, will ya, I changed my mind I want the yellow chair over by the blue chair and then the rest can be arranged over here.

Good grief. This is already one terrific ball club.

  10. It is one tough decision but I’ll just have to put some faith in Mattingly. He’s got us this far!!!!!

  11. Just remembering how the 1963 Dodger Team were 13 games out of first place, and then pushed on to win not only the Division Title, they also won the first four games of the ” World Series ” , beating the New York Yankees !!
