Joc Pederson isn’t just about tight man-to-man defense, as seen in the above video.

Under the radar and near the bottom of the batting order, Pederson is quietly reducing fears about his offense after last season’s post-June slump.

Overall in 2016, the 24-year-old has a .386 on-base percentage (.403 against right-handed pitching) with a .500 slugging percentage, .380 weighted on-base average and 137 weighted runs created.

The strikeouts have been there — 25 in 83 plate appearances — but he has been making better contact of late. After striking out 20 times in his first 51 trips to the plate (39 percent), he has whiffed five times in his past 32 opportunities (16 percent).

In his past 15 games (12 starts), Pederson has a .447 OBP with three homers and 11 walks to go with his 11 strikeouts.

    This is great news . . .he appears much more in command at the plate and is consistently getting quality at-bats. If it continues, he will have brilliant future predicted.

  2. Joc just hit a dinger and looked good last night {not curse here!}
