I wonder if David Letterman thought he’d retire before Vin Scully when they met up for this 1990 interview.

Pace of play is part of the conversation, and — go figure — so is the Grateful Dead.

  1. Ha ha he said “bitchy”, late night Vin letting loose.

Also i just realized he has been there for literally every Dodger world series.

  2. The other thing I will say is that I also think that I have never gotten much sense of what his actual physical presence is like, which is amazing on the one hand but makes total sense on the other. Now of course he is older and probably less physically expression, but seeing him gesture and move in his seat in this scene of (relative) youth is interesting, it really allows one to get to know him in a way that we are not used to, but a way that is pretty central to how we generally understand people.
