It’s Dodger Caravan time

The Dodgers’ 11th annual community service caravan, Pitching in the Community presented by State Farm, gets rolling Monday and continues through January 30, followed by a host of community service activities by Dodger players January 31.

This year’s caravan is making stops at the following locations and will be joined by these Dodger alums:

  • January 27 (Ron Cey, Kenny Landreaux, Matt Luke and Dennis Powell)
    • 1 -4:30 p.m.: Children’s Hospital Los Angeles
  • January 28 (Tommy Davis, “Sweet” Lou Johnson, Tim Leary and Derrel Thomas)
    • 10:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m.: Moffitt Elementary School/Playworks in Norwalk
    • 3:30-7:15 p.m.: McBride Teen Center Ice Skating at Dodger Stadium
  • January 29 (Al Ferrara, Dennis Powell, Wes Parker and Bill Russell)
    • 8-10:30 a.m.: West Adams Preparatory High School, Los Angeles
    • 10:45 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.: L.A. Universal Preschool
  • January 30 (Billy Ashley, Ron Cey, Al Ferrara, Reggie Smith and Maury Wills)
    • 10 a.m. – 12 noon: Operation Gratitude, National Guard Armory, Van Nuys

  1. In the olden days the caravan came all the way up to Santa Maria. We went one year and saw Sax and Scioscia. Good times
