Vin Scully is scheduled to call four of the 16 Dodger games SportsNet LA will televise during Spring Training, including all three Freeway Series tilts against the Angels.

The SportsNet LA schedule (shown up top) begins with the Cactus League opener March 3 against the White Sox. All four National League West rivals are featured, including two games against the Giants on March 6 and 25. SportsNet LA will air games on every Saturday and Sunday in March.

New addition Joe Davis makes his Spring Training debut March 19 against the Pale Hose, mixing in with Charley Steiner, Rick Monday, Orel Hershiser and Nomar Garciaparra.

Live coverage from Camelback Ranch begins tonight at 7 p.m. with the Spring Training debut of “Access SportsNet: Dodgers,” which will air every weeknight until the regular season, with John Hartung, Alanna Rizzo, Hershiser, Garciaparra, Jerry Hairston Jr. and Ned Colletti on board.

Behind-the-scenes series “Backstage: Dodgers” has its third-season premiere Thursday at 8 p.m.

  1. Too bad nobody in Los Angeles can watch any of these games. Right, Dodgers and Time Warner Cable? Greed.

  2. Reblogged this on Dodger Blue World and commented:

  3. You can watch. Just switch

  4. Are the games on Radio in Glendale Az for Spring Training ? if yes what station?

  5. Isn’t the 3/26 game at Glendale, not Peoria?

  6. It’s really rich for the Dodgers to promote this while actively preventing so many of their fans from watching his final three seasons. What a betrayal of the loyalty fans show this franchise.

  7. No. we do not have TWC in San Luis Obispo (180 miles north of Dodger Stadium), and MLB package does not work because we are blacked out from Dodger and Angel Games. Cannot do cable. Last year of Vinny and we not going to get the games? Grow up TWC and Dodgers. Settle now before the damage this is causing gets any worse.

  8. I’m in the same boat as Gary Peters. Close enough to LA to be in the blackout area and local area for the Dodgers, but no access to Warner cable or its affiliates. Can’t buy the games from MLB package if I wanted to.

  9. I love Vin Scully, he is the BEST and I wish him good health during his retirement. However, I do not go to Dodger games any longer like I used to because I can not handle the traffic and it has become expensive and everything in the stadium has advertisement on it which offends me. Plus, I do not watch the games anymore expect during the playoffs or World Series games because I think it is nervy that the Dodgers have become very greedy and charge fans to see games on TV. If the owners would not agree to pay players such high salaries maybe everything would not be so expensive.

  10. In Las Vegas, we’re lucky when we get a full radio broadcast, and that often includes a bunch of sex toy commercials. Very classy.
