Scott Van Slyke is making a second trip to the disabled list this season, this time with right wrist irritation.

Chris Taylor, who had been optioned Sunday to make room for Rob Segedin’s promotion, is reversing field and returning to the active roster.

A lower back irritation previously put Van Slyke on the disabled list from April 12 to June 3. He has a .292 on-base percentage and .314 slugging percentage this year for the Dodgers.

Van Slyke joins Hyun-Jin Ryu as a two-time visitor to the DL this season. Click below to enlarge.

Blue-hot offense powers Dodgers into first-place tie

  1. Well, considering the fact that he wasn’t hitting much anyway (always sorry to see a player injured, of course) don’t think this should affect the offense much. Think maybe Oklahoma should have a shuttle plane. Haven’t we already set a MLB record for injuries?

Sorry Scotty is having so much trouble this year. I thought he must have sustained another injury, he just hasn’t been the hitter he has been in the past few seasons. He is a big favorite of many of us for his hustle and clutch contributions. Hope he heals and returns to form next year.

  3. Reddick and Hill what a waste by Freidman, another great move by our GM
