After Brett Anderson pitched five strong innings, Triple-A Oklahoma City scored three runs in the bottom of the seventh to rally for a 4-2 victory over El Paso in Game 3 of the Pacific Coast League finals.

Will Venable’s ricocheting two-run single scored Cody Bellinger and Kyle Farmer to give Oklahoma City 3-2 lead, and one out later, Jack Murphy (2 for 3 with a walk) singled to drive in Chris Taylor (three walks) with an insurance run.

Jacob Rhame pitched two innings of shutout relief to close out the game for Oklahoma City, which needs to win home games Saturday and Sunday to take the PCL crown.

Anderson, who has been beset by blister problems recently, giving up 10 baserunners in two innings for Single-A Rancho Cucamonga on September 3, needed only 54 pitches to complete his five innings, allowing three hits — including a solo home run in the second — walking none and striking out five.

Alex Verdugo singled home Farmer, who had doubled, in the fourth inning to tie the game at 1, before El Paso took its next lead with a run in the top of the seventh.

Farmer is 6 for 12 in the PCL title series and 11 for 26 in the playoffs overall.
